At first, this may seem uninteresting. It had felt like just another random fact until its implications became clear. One eventually realises that this will undoubtedly improve our understanding of our home - The Solar System. We might be able to understand the emergence of life in a better way by comparing the difference between the structure of those inner and outer rings due to the difference in ages. It might help us understand the existence of these rings. It may answer a mysterious question, i.e. " Can our Moon form such rings around our planet" this doesn't end here because a new finding makes way for a thousand new ones.

A study on the Saturn system has shown that those rings, earlier thought to have originated at the birth of the Solar System. It might have come into existence after the death of dinosaurs on Earth. Be careful here. It's not that one event has been described as a cause of the other. Instead, these two events are way too close in history than we had previously thought.

The researchers at the Search for Extra-terrestrial Intelligence Institute (SETI) claimed that the outer rings of the 6th planet might be as young as 100 million years. This seems to be a large span of time for a layman. Still, it is nothing when compared to the universe's age. That's why it has been referred to as young.
